A year and a half ago, we founded The Flipside to keep you informed about the issues that affect our communities. In that time, we’ve revealed the extent of police collaboration with ICE in Boston and across the state and documented the public policy debates on how to stem the flow of information to federal immigration officials, we’ve written about the ways elected officials have fallen short of enacting policies that reflect constituents’ progressive values and we’ve broken news stories such as the push by parochial schools, local foundations and charter school advocates to bring a federal voucher program to Massachusetts.

We’re breaking news stories no one else is writing about! Doing this work requires resources. Over the last 18 months, we’ve relied on donations from readers like you to keep us going.

Please join The Flipside at 6 p.m. October 15 at District 7 at 380 Warren Street in Roxbury for food, drink (cash bar) and conversation as we celebrate our first 18 months.

If you cannot make it but would still like to make a monetary contribution, you can donate here. Donations in any amount are welcomed.
